Forecast Discussion
Today will be a relatively nice reprieve from the blustery, wintery weather yesterday. It will still be cold with a high in the mid-20s, but sunshine will be present and winds will be light. We once again drop back into the single digits tonight, so make sure to dress accordingly to keep yourself warm! These calm but cold conditions are due to high pressure moving through the area. That won’t last for very long, though, as another low pressure system centered in Canada will have a southward-dipping warm front that will be the catalyst for some light snow showers and breezy winds tomorrow. Accumulations will be minimal, but some slick spots on roadways could still develop. High pressure briefly moves back in on Friday as the warm front from the day before finally gets us back to a high of around 40 degrees. Another system with a cold front accompanying it arrives on Saturday, this time bringing us a good deal of rain. Once that front passes us by, we’ll return back to sub-freezing temperatures, as Sunday’s high will only be in the upper 20s.
