After a very windy day, we should expect much calmer conditions. Partly cloudy skies will last throughout much of the day with the high around 54 degrees. Tonight, clouds will start too slowly increase, but we’ll continue our calm conditions. Low temperature reaching into the low 40s.

Throughout the new week, winds will start to increase Sunday as another system enters near our area. As of now, Athens is on the edge of a Marginal risk (level 1 out of 5)  on Sunday for the chance of an isolated severe storm, although this system is expected to greatly weaken before it reaches our area. Rain will return late Sunday night into early Monday morning. We’ll see a brief transition from rain to snow Monday morning as temperatures sharply drop before drying out during the afternoon. Very light snow accumulation is possible, especially on grassy surfaces. Temperature throughout the week starting off much colder in the 30s before warming back up into the 60s late week.
