Technical Forecast Discussion Meet the Forecaster

Issued: 8pm on Monday, June 29th 2026

Forecast Discussion

The main story this week will be the heat dome that is overspreading much of the eastern US, bringing hazardous impacts to Southeast Ohio. Highs will be in the mid- to even upper-90s through Friday. With dew points in the low- to mid-70s, this will create real-feel temperatues of 105 degrees. In fact, the National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has issued a Heat Advisory for all of Southeast Ohio. Make sure to take proper precautions to protect yourself from this dangerous heat. Showers and storms may return Friday night in an otherwise dry, sunny, and hot forecast.
