Forecast Discussion
Rain chances are weak this later evening, but increase greatly as we move into the very early morning hours of Sunday. Estimated accumulation could be around 0.5 inches of rain, and with already saturated grounds, roadways and wet grounds may flood easily. The Charleston, WV National Weather Service office warns of ice jams throughout the weekend, potentially allowing for localized flooding in certain areas. At this time, no flood watches or advisories have been issued.
After a rainy Sunday, temperatures will slightly increase for President’s Day / Washington’s Birthday. As we move through next week, we’ll see a warming trend with Tuesday and Wednesday likely getting up into the mid-60s! Clouds will come and go, with more rain likely returning on Thursday night through Friday and into Saturday.
