Calm conditions today as temperatures move up to 87 degrees. High pressure will continue to give us clear skies and dry conditions as we remain in a ridge. Tonight, we should expect temperatures to move down into the mid 50s with clear skies. As we move into tomorrow, we’ll see similar conditions with temperatures rising up to just below 90 degrees. Throughout the weekend and into the new week, little to no rain is expected in the next few days, which may lead to worsening drought conditions in the near future. Currently, Athens sits at a D0 (Abnormally Dry) drought level. Temperatures will peak into the lower 90s Friday and Saturday, before a small cooldown arrives Sunday only lowering our temperatures into the mid 80s for the new week.
