Forecast Discussion

After a wet and windy weekend, quiet and beautiful weather is in store for today as high pressure builds overhead. This is bringing plentiful sunshine and highs near 60 to the southeast Ohio region, so make sure to get outside today! Clouds will begin to increase tonight, however, with shortwave energy expected to approach from the west. This will bring chances for rain showers beginning Monday morning, but rain will be light compared to the excessive rainfall we have recently received. Rain will begin to dissipate by Monday evening as this disturbance moves out of the region, but another disturbance will approach on Tuesday, bringing more chances for rain showers lasting through Tuesday night. High pressure will then briefly build back into the area, bringing plentiful sunshine for Wednesday and much of Thursday with temperatures near 60 once again before an upper level trough and surface low pressure system approach, bringing the greatest chances for showers to close out the work week.
