This is due to heat indexes reaching as high as 102 degrees, this will be in effect until 8 pm. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take plenty of breaks if you are working outside to avoid heat illnesses.

Hot and sunny weather today with a high in the mid 90s. As we progress into our night tonight we will begin to see some clouds develop as a cold front begins to move into our region. This will cause a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Thursday. In terms of this weekend, we can expect the effects of this cold front to last with highs in the low 80s and sunny skies as high pressure will take over.
