Be on the lookout Thursday night into Friday on March 14 between 2:26am and 3:31am EDT as a Lunar Eclipse will be visible giving rise to a blood moon. At this time, a few clouds are possible with increasing clouds later in the morning.

Spring-like temperatures continue for the remainder of the work week and spring break as highs remain in the mid to upper-70s with southerly flow and sunny skies. Due to a stationary front, clouds may roll in Thursday, but conditions will remain dry as the system decays. Overall, zonal flow (straight west to east flow) will create calm, stagnant weather conditions with temperatures remaining unseasonally warm. However, if you have any weekend plans, be on the lookout especially for Saturday.

Starting Friday, a low-pressure system will develop east of the Rockies and begin tracking northeast toward the Great Lakes. A warm front will lift through on Saturday bringing the Ohio Valley in the warm sector and a cold front through Saturday night into Sunday morning likely forming a line of storms in the evening. Some storms are possible to be severe with a 15% probability of severe thunderstorms as of right now with the greatest threat potentially being gusty winds but stay tuned for further updates as Saturday gets closer. The NWS has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook Saturday into Sunday with gusts up to 40 mph especially in higher elevations due to the deep low. With temperatures in the mid to upper-70s and dewpoints near 60 degrees, thunderstorms are possible to develop. Otherwise, intense showers are likely. A secondary cold front will move through during the day on Sunday as cooler temperatures settle in with temperatures dropping to near 50 degrees as a high starting next week.
