Clouds will begin to increase today with an isolated chance of showers and storms increasing throughout the evening. A series of disturbances will move through the region all weekend into early next week associated with a stationary front lingering over the next few days. A mix of sun and clouds is possible throughout the weekend with scattered chances of showers and thunderstorms with rain being heavy at times. If there are any Father’s Day plans, it is advised to bring any rain gear if there are any outdoor plans. Locations that receive repeated rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to experience isolated flash flooding. Scattered chances for showers and storms will linger into next week as another low-pressure system makes its way into the region through mid-week. It is not expected to be a complete washout as it will be scattered in nature with dry periods as well.
Lows will hover in the mid-60s with highs in the upper-70s to low-80s. It may feel muggy and uncomfortable at times as dewpoint temperatures will hover around in the low to mid-70s; especially in the afternoon and evening where thunderstorms are most likely to occur. Any storms that do occur are not to be severe at this time. At the end of the forecast period, 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible with locally higher amounts.
