A wet ending to our week! A low-pressure system is sitting directly under southeast Ohio, which is what the rain received today is associated with. These rain showers will be clearing out of the Athens area tonight. A cold front will be moving rapidly through southeast Ohio as the night progresses, but it is not expected to bring temperatures down much, as Saturday’s high is forecast to be 62º. A separate cold front will enter the area again early Sunday morning, and rain is expected to accompany it. However, as Sunday progresses, temperatures are expected to dip throughout the day, and that rain will likely become a wintry mix early Sunday evening. This wintry mix continues into Monday, with a high temperature of only 37º. The weather begins to stagnate/level off as Tuesday and Wednesday roll around, though, and we will begin to see slightly warmer temperatures again.
