Southeast Ohio again enters an active period of weather over the next several days. A low pressure system is currently approaching the area from the west, which will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms starting tonight and continuing into tomorrow. Highs tomorrow will be in the low-80s. There is also a small chance of flash flooding that could occur as a result of this rain, which could be heavy at times, so make sure to stay weather aware over the coming hours. Rain chances continue into Wednesday, where very muggy air will push heat indices into the mid-90s. This will increase the risk of heat-related illnesses, so ensure you are taking proper precautions to keep yourself protected from the heat. On Wednesday night into Thursday, we enter a slight lull between systems, bringing precipitation chances down some. Thursday will also be the hottest day of the week, with a high near 90 degrees and a feels-like temperature in the upper-90s. Another batch of showers and storms enters the region Friday morning.
