High pressure is providing VERY nice weather for us here recently in Athens. Clear skies tonight will allow temperatures to drop near freezing prompting a Frost Advisory from the NWS until 9 AM tomorrow. Make sure to bring sensitive plants inside to protect them! These conditions will persist through tomorrow, but clouds will move in slowly by tomorrow night as rain and thunderstorm chances increase. Showers and storms will move in as an approaching warm front provides enough forcing ahead of it along with moisture pushing in.

Showers and some thunderstorms will linger through Saturday, but a brief ridge will provide clearing and dry weather on Sunday. All of this before a cold front moves through Monday to start off the week. This cold front behind strong warm air and moisture advection from the warm front will be the trigger for showers and some thunderstorm activity. Thankfully, temperatures are not expected to drop much.
