Forecast Discussion

The cold front we’ve been expecting for the region is not progressing very quickly, so the chance of showers we’ve seen through the night will stick around through the early morning here today. Behind this cold front, there is a high pressure system building, which will keep the weekend beautiful for any independence day celebrations! Today we are not expected to have any sort of rain, and Monday will also be generally rain-free until the nighttime hours. After the 4th, we are expected to see a very active week of weather. There is a lingering chance of thunderstorms, clouds, and rain through most of the coming week. These storms will be very dependent on the day-to-day conditions, so be sure to stay attuned to the local forecast for updates on potential severe weather through next week. Also, expect daytime high to continue to hang around the upper 80s and dew points to peak in the low 70s. Whenever there is a break in the rain, expect to feel some of the same heat and humidity we’ve been getting all summer.
