Forecast Discussion

The southern part of the high-pressure system northeast of our area dragged some moisture from the ocean. Combined with the low-pressure system just south of us, which brought even more moisture from the south, caused snowfall today. As the low-pressure system is approaching and getting stronger, we expect snow to continue during the night. It will be replaced by rain in the early morning with little chance of freezing rain. Another low-pressure system will come to our region which will bring more rain and higher temperatures, up to 45*F, during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Strong cold front associated with it will cause the air temperature to drop significantly on Thursday morning. The temperature will continue falling to around 20*F on Friday morning.
