The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook that includes Athens, OH: a system moving eastward brings potential for strong to severe storms on Saturday.

With this sunshine, it sure does make it feel like the season has come around. With tonight’s slight chance of rain, tomorrow is looking to be bright, sunny, and windy with a high of 81 degrees! However, chances for rain and thunderstorms this weekend are prevalent as cloud cover increases Friday night with the winds. A low system to our north will be dragging a cold front behind it, giving us an 80% chance of afternoon to late showers on Saturday with gusts potentially getting up to 30mph. On the other hand, Easter Sunday is looking to have a little rain around 12:00pm before settling around a mostly cloudy day, but in the upper 70s! A slight break in the rain before it returns for Monday.
