Forecast Discussion

Enjoy the warm temperatures this weekend before they plummet back into the 40s come Monday afternoon and the 30s on Tuesday. A strong system will sweep over the northern US throughout the coming days before arriving in Ohio come Monday. This system will likely bring us some rain-snow mix by early Monday morning to daybreak on Monday, but thankfully nothing significant is expected so far. We may see gusty winds Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning as this system crawls over the state during this time, similarly to gusty conditions seen today. Once this system departs on Tuesday, bitterly cold air will follow right behind it, quickly reminding us that it is, in fact, still winter in Ohio. Please make sure you are prepared for this brief cold snap, especially as winds remain fairly gusty early next week. Thankfully, calmer conditions are expected by midweek as we can expect temperatures to slowly climb back into the 50s by Thursday.
