Due to a below freezing overnight temperature the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Athens county and its surrounding area. This will be in effect from 11 pm to 9 am. Remember to cover any plants or outdoor plumbing tonight as a frost and freeze can kill and damage these.

Tonight will be frigid with a low of around 31 degrees. Tomorrow, we will kick off a warming trend hitting around 74 degrees and we will stay in the 70s and 80s for the remainder of the week. Our next chance of rain will come tomorrow night and Wednesday as a cold front passes to our north.
