Forecast Discussion
The low-pressure system continues to affect our region as rain remains likely throughout this weekend and into the end of Sunday. Temperatures will range from the low 40s to low 50s. The upper level trough will deepen through Saturday into Sunday that will keep a mass of moisture over the state that will make rain likely for all of Saturday. Since storms are relatively fast moving and moisture isn’t too deeply layered, flooding is not likely. Chances for showers will decrease as Sunday progresses as the low pressure system moves off to the east coast. Upper level troughing will continue to bring moisture from the north, so showers can’t be completely ruled out until mid-Monday. A short break in precipitation will occur on Tuesday until Wednesday when a shortwave disturbance brings another chance for rain
