Upper level ridging will strengthen on Monday as moist, warm air moves up from the south. This will make for a humid day as the ridge will trap moisture over the region. On Tuesday, surface flow will weaken as Tuesday will be more dry with less moisture being advected. On Wednesday a cold front will begins it’s approach towards the region. Cloud cover will begin to increase late morning as moisture moves in. Precipitation is expected Wednesday night and early Thursday. Some periods of heavy rain are possible late at Wednesday night. From Thursday to the end of the week, the area will see seasonally cool temperatures as cold air follows the front. Dry, cool air will stay over the Midwest as highs fall into the 60s.
