This indicates pleasant, mostly sunny conditions for most of the day today. As the front moves southeasterly out of Athens, it will bring Northerly, cool air into the area and especially into the night when temperatures will dip into the mid-twenties tonight. Saturday, we’ll expect some more sunshine as the strong high-pressure system remains within the area and an associated ridging pattern will contribute to slightly warmer temperatures for tomorrow. Into tomorrow night, temperatures will dip into the mid-twenties as a lack of persistent cloud cover will allow for temperatures to cool below freezing in the night. Into Sunday, the high-pressure system lingers close to Athens, making temperatures warmer and drier which will likely last until mid-next week.
