The upper-level ridge and accompanying surface high remain over the area over the next few days. Because of this, temperatures will be significantly warmer than average for this time of year, with highs soaring into the mid-to-upper 70s. Then, as the polar jet dips southward into the region late Wednesday, a cold front passes swiftly by. This unfortunately won’t bring any much-needed precipitation to Athens, but it will make for more seasonable temperatures come Thursday and into the end of next week.
