Weak ridging will exist in the upper levels on today, that will allow warmer air to push up from the South and push highs into the mid to high 80s. Moisture will move into the area tonight that will allow for lows to be in the high 60s as it remains humid overnight. A shortwave trough begins to deepen over the eastern portion of the Midwest on Friday. This shortwave trough will also be accompanied by a low pressure system that will begin affecting the area on Friday. Showers and storms will become more likely into Friday evening. Convection becomes more organized on Saturday, which will lead to sustained showers and storms through the day into the late evening. A few storms could produce heavy rain. The center of the low pressure system will stall over Southern Ohio on Sunday. This will continue the trend of precipitation as storms look to occur in the afternoon at peak heating time. Precipitation looks to tamper off Sunday night and bring in cooler air on Monday that puts highs back in the low 80s.
