Forecast Discussion

Overnight, a cold front moved through alongside a low-pressure system at the surface. This cold front alongside an upper-level trough could bring showers and maybe even a rumble of thunder towards southeastern Ohio. Although most of the rain will remain to the north, a couple of showers could pop up throughout the afternoon today, and thankfully they aren’t expected to be severe or long-lasting in the area. Gusty, northerly winds could be a slight nuisance today through Saturday as gusts could be up to 20 mph, so make sure any lightweight items are properly secured. By Friday, high-pressure will yet again fill into the region which will bring us back to dry and hot conditions. Unfortunately, by Saturday, we are likely going to see a warming trend once again as temperatures steadily rise into the mid-to-upper 80s.
