Forecast Discussion

High pressure remains in control across much of the region bringing with it hot and humid conditions. Today should remain dry until the overnight hours where the area could see some isolated showers and storms ahead of our next disturbance. With highs in the low 90s today, feels like temperatures will be nearing 100 when you factor in the dew point. A weak cold front will move through the region tomorrow bringing with it the chance for showers and storms throughout the day, a few storms could be severe. For this reason, the Storm Prediction Center does have parts of the region under a slight risk of severe storms through the day on Thursday, so this is something to watch out for tomorrow. Behind the front, temperatures and dew point values will drop making for more comfortable conditions on Friday before the heat and humidity return for the weekend.
