The cold front will push through the area later tonight, bringing rain ahead and behind the frontal boundary. Heavy rain is possible in stronger storms associated with the front. Storms will continue into Tuesday as the front continues to push southeast. Precipitation should end by Tuesday evening as the front will be far enough away for incoming high pressure to influence incoming weather patterns. On Wednesday, upper level patterns show ridging occurring, which will create warm and calm conditions. Temperatures will cool into the low 80s as cold air follows the cold front. General ridging continues on Thursday with high pressure moving through as temperatures warm into the mid 80s. A shortwave trough will push through the Midwest on Friday that pushes a mature low pressure system along with it. This will create precipitation ahead of the system as moisture is advected into the region. On Saturday, the low pressure system will enter the state as chances for precipitation become more likely and storms become more widespread.
