Forecast Discussion

Weak low pressure remains in Northern Ohio tonight as storms and rain continue to move through overnight. The cold front attached to the low pressure system will slowly make its way toward Athens on Saturday bringing in more storms ahead of the front. Chances for storms will decrease Saturday night as high pressure moves in over the Great Lakes. Precipitation should cease for the most part on Sunday, but diurnal heating could produce a stray storm since moisture is still available. Low pressure will form over the state on Monday as storms become possible in the late afternoon. A shortwave trough will influence weather on Tuesday bringing more storms and showers. The trough will die down on Wednesday, but moisture could generate convection in the afternoon.
