Forecast Discussion
High-pressure at the surface will be a dominate feature this week, much like it has for the past month now. The trough aloft that has been a driver for the cooler weather today and for much of this week will continue to dig into the eastern Midwest and New England region. Unfortunately, by the end of Saturday and into Sunday, it’s expected to substantially weaken and could allow slightly warmer temperatures to creep back into the forecast by this time next week. A warming trend is expected to occur through most of this week and next week, though a cold front on Friday will help to keep those temperatures from rising substantially for a brief moment. Unsettled weather is not expected at this time as skies remain sunny with minor clouds occasionally developing through Saturday.
