Forecast Discussion
A broad region of high-pressure and a warm front over southern Canada is keeping our skies clear and pleasant. As another mid-latitude cyclone develops and builds to the west, our temperatures are expected to rise dramatically compared to frigid past few days thanks to the warm front. Being in the warm sector will allow warmer, southerly winds from the Gulf to warm Athens up a little bit, however, rain is expected Sunday night into Monday because of the excess moisture from the Gulf.
Unfortunately, a cold front will pass over us once more by Wednesday alongside an upper-level trough dropping our temperatures once more. However, the moisture still present in the region may bring the chance for snow showers Wednesday. Make sure you check back on future forecasts so you can stay weather aware!
