Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue through tonight, and for the next few days. Moisture will remain over the area on Monday as a cold front approaches from the north, providing plenty of instability and another weak disturbance over the area. By Monday night, expect rain chances across the area as a result of a frontal boundary draped west to east to the north of the area. By midday Tuesday, Hurricane Ida will have moved in and will provide heavier showers and thunderstorms going into Wednesday, which could result in some possible flooding concerns. With this, temperatures will take a tumble and fall well below seasonable for a nice cool down. Overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, the remnants of Ida will move towards the east, leaving little chances for rain for the rest of Thursday. Temperatures will rise to right around seasonable by Saturday as high pressure builds in from the Midwest, calling for a pleasant weekend. However, a  stray shower or thunderstorm cannot be entirely ruled out Saturday afternoon and into Sunday as the high pressure weakens.
