Technical Forecast Discussion
Key Messages:
- A warm front will pass through on Tuesday, bringing our temperatures into the upper-40s to near 50 before dropping back down into the mid-30s.
- Stable conditions expected throughout the upcoming week.
Short-Term Forecast (Sunday 02/08/2026 through Tuesday 02/10/2026):
High-pressure will remain at the surface tonight through Monday, keeping the skies fairly clear. This will allow temperatures to plummet tonight into the single digits. However, we can expect temperatures to steadily into Tuesday as a ridge builds and a warm front slowly pushes through. While temperatures will hover in the mid-30s Monday, we can expect temperatures to soar into the upper-40s to near 50 on Tuesday. Winds will remain calm tonight into Monday but will become breezy come Tuesday because of this approaching low. Clouds will be fairly sparce, but still partly cloudy throughout Tuesday as this surface low approaches. Thankfully, precipitation is not expected to occur because of this low.
Long-Term Forecast (Wednesday 02/11/2026 through Saturday 02/14/2026):
High-pressure will define the remainder of the work week into the weekend. Winds will continue to be fairly breezy Wednesday as the low recedes but will calm come Thursday onwards. Clouds will rapidly build through Friday morning before mostly clearing into Friday evening into Saturday. The chance for snow flurries may return early Friday morning as well, but it’s still too early to confidently tell as the moisture for precipitation is hardly present at this time. A ridge will build over the state throughout this time as well, allowing for temperatures to remain fairly constant but warm slightly into Saturday as stable conditions continue.
