Forecast Discussion

Moisture continues to be in the region tonight. Showers will be isolated for the rest of tonight. Upper level ridging that exists on Monday will allow for moisture to move up north, increasing chances for showers in the area from the afternoon through the evening. An upper level trough makes its way across the Midwest on Tuesday. Ahead of it will be a cold front that should just enter the state by Tuesday night. The approaching cold front will push more moisture in from the west as moisture in still prominent in the area. Showers are likely for all of Tuesday and an isolated thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. Showers are probable for the for the day on Wednesday, but dry air behind the front will clear conditions late that evening. Nearby moisture will keep the area cloudy on Thursday, but rain is not probable. It will be cloudy, but relatively dry until Friday when another cold front will finally break cloud cover and lead to a calm and clear weekend.
