Forecast Discussion
The low pressure system made of the remnants of Gordon will be centered near the region tonight. Showers and highly likely and multiple periods of sustained heavy rain are possible as well as creating possible flooding conditions. Monday will be another rainy day as the region will be in the warm sector of the low pressure system that will be marked by warmer air and moisture. Highs will be in the high 70s. Precipitation will slowly be pushed out of the area late Monday as high pressure follow behind the cold front of the low pressure system. On Tuesday, clouds will remain in the area, but the atmosphere will be drier as moisture is temporarily pushed away. Moisture is brought back on Wednesday as a stationary front will be to the east. Precipitation is unlikely, but clouds and moisture will remain. An upper level ridge will move into the Midwest on Thursday that will finally break cloud cover. This ridge will also trap moisture in the region, leading clear and humid days on Thursday and Friday.
