Forecast Discussion
High pressure from the North as begun to move South into the Ohio region. These high pressure systems will put motion into the stationary front that has been hovering over the Appalachian mountains. This southerly movement of high pressure will create moderate but somewhat muggy conditions for the next couple days. Partly cloudy skies will dominate throughout this weekend and into next week with slight chances of pop up rain showers as well. These trends will remain in the Athens area until next Tuesday when a cold front will move down from the north bringing isolated thunderstorms and a slight drop in temperatures.
