Forecast Discussion

A dreary end of the work week and weekend are on tap as the remnants of Hurricane Laura trek up the Ohio Valley. In addition to considerable cloudiness, significant rain and embedded thunderstorms will be in store for later tomorrow, continuing into Saturday as well as early Sunday morning before tapering off. The greatest concern at the moment is the potential for scattered flash flooding events in the region. There is a slight risk for excessive rainfall for parts of SE Ohio, including the Athens area.  Temps will be steady around the low to mid 80s.
