Forecast Discussion

High pressure continues to build into the area over the next few days, but a small chance of rain is expected tonight as upper level ridging shifts slightly east, allowing a low pressure system to pass through. Upper ridging and surface high pressure will then take hold once again, bringing temperatures in the 60s and sunny skies for the short term. Clearing skies from high pressure will bring the potential for frost Wednesday night into Thursday morning, so make sure to cover any outdoor plants or plumbing. Clouds will then begin to increase by daytime on Thursday ahead of the next low pressure system. This will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region to close out the work and into the weekend in response to a deepening upper level trough. Overall, expect a wet weekend ahead!
