Upper level ridging is keeping mid level moisture trapped in the region which is contributing to the excessive mugginess the area is experiencing. The continued humidity will allow lows only to reach the low 70s tonight. Upper level troughing and a associated cold front will makes its way into the region late Wednesday. Moisture will move in ahead of it leading to clouds increasing from the afternoon into the evening with highs in the high 80s. Storm activity is most likely around 8-9pm on Wednesday and looks to continue through most of Thursday as the front will stall over the region. Upper level ridging returns on Friday to push the front out of the region. A pocket of dry air will also move over the region on Friday leading to lower highs in the low 80s with clear conditions. Saturday looks to be clear with highs in the mid to high 80s. Another upper level trough will move through late Saturday/early Sunday which lines up with the approach of a band of moisture, so showers and a few storms look possible Sunday afternoon.
