Pop up storms may occur late afternoon on Thursday, but will lose energy as the evening approaches. The beginning of the weekend will be marked with the passing of a cold front. Showers and storms will rely mainly on diurnal heating on Friday, but will increase in probability Saturday and Sunday as a upper level low increases in strength and a stationary front to the south help fuel ongoing convection.
