Forecast Discussion

Hazardous Weather Outlook

A rainy week is ahead, with rain and thunderstorms expected into the weekend. We are just southwest of a jet streak associated with a high pressure ridge over the central U.S. that will help to initiate upper level divergence. These factors, paired with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s and high daytime temperatures will allow storms to form fairly easily, with some having the potential to be strong. The first round of storms will start overnight into the early hours Wednesday morning, but expect more as the week continues. Frontal passage Friday into Saturday will lead to a pleasant break from the rain in time for the weekend. For more updates, follow us on Twitter and Facebook!
