Forecast Discussion

A mainly dry week is expected for the southeast Ohio region as upper level ridging and surface high pressure build in, providing sunny skies and warm temperatures. Precipitation chances will return Thursday night into Friday due to a series of shortwave disturbances moving through the ridging pattern, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms to end the work week and into the weekend. A surface low pressure associated with these patterns aloft will lift a warm front north on Sunday, and eventually a cold front Sunday night into Monday. Enjoy the beautiful weather for the majority of the week!
