Forecast Discussion
Tonight will slowly clear up as ridging and high pressure allow for drier air to move in from the east. Convection will be available on Thursday, but moisture will be limited, so showers and storms are not likely. An upper level ridge still exists Thursday night and will continue into Friday as clear conditions continue and temperatures slowly rise. Saturday will be warm and slightly muggy as stable conditions continue. Sunday will be another day where nearby convection is available. It will be more humid on Sunday, so scattered showers and storms have a slight chance of forming, mainly in the late afternoon. Florence will begin to affect us on late Monday as the cyclone begins to curve towards the Appalachians. Rain fall totals are unknown since the mountains could affect the time and severity of rainfall. Showers and storms are likely on Tuesday as well as a cold front moves through.
