Forecast Discussion

Our ridge pattern has finally broken after many days of balmy weather. A cold front entering the region late tonight will spur a weak and broken line of thunderstorms to move through our area in the morning hours of Thursday. Following this cold front, temperatures will finally resume a more seasonable pattern in the low 80s for the highs moving forward. More clouds than sun will linger around tomorrow, along with some more humid conditions, but going outside will be much more bearable than these last few days.

Partly cloudy skies remain overnight Thursday. A shortwave trough will take hold as a cut-off low moves south of the Ohio Valley, so a bit more moisture still remains alongside mostly cloudy skies once more. A more prolonged cloudy period will keep throughout the weekend, with a few chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms here and there. Thankfully, however, the heat is gone for good.
