Forecast Discussion
With prominent zonal flow in the upper atmosphere and high-pressure engulfing much of the Ohio Valley, a much-needed warming trend and dry conditions will be expected this upcoming week. Clouds will stick around for the most part, but some peaks of sun will make itself known Monday and Tuesday. Winds will stay generally calm and westerly. Precipitation is not expected at this time. By tomorrow morning, a cold front will pass over Athens which will keep the temperatures relatively chilly but should not be much of a concern. By Monday we will begin a week where we are forecasted to consistently stay above the 40s! Make sure you take some time Monday and Tuesday to enjoy the outdoors, because Wednesday will be the return to the typical cloudy and gloomy Ohio winter weather.
