A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for Athens, OH from 7:00pm tonight the 28th to 11:00am tomorrow the 29th. Very cold wind chills as low as -8ºF – and potentially lower in certain areas – are expected.

Quite the colder week is set up for Athens as we continue through our midweek and into the weekend. A small chance for snow showers will run into the evening hours later tonight. Clouds will come and go, allowing for nighttime lows to drop into the negatives. Winds will be more westerly tonight before shifting to coming from the north Thursday night and into the weekend. Chances of snow are slight Friday morning with a current estimation of 0.1 inches of snow accumulation. A small cold blast will move in on Saturday and drop its daytime high into the teens with northerly winds, allowing for a very cold and chilly day. The start of next week will be cloudier and slightly warmer, but still chilly, with highs in the mid-20s.
