High pressure begins to build in late Thursday through Friday, bringing a stretch of quieter weather and helping temperatures steadily warm heading into the weekend. Friday should stay mostly dry, although a few showers could begin developing late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

By Saturday, a stronger system and approaching front will bring increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening hours. Some storms could produce brief heavy rainfall, with periods of showers continuing into Saturday night. Conditions begin improving by Sunday, though a few leftover morning showers remain possible before skies become partly sunny later in the day.

Looking ahead into early next week, a stronger area of high pressure is expected to settle across the region, allowing temperatures to climb well above average. Afternoon highs will trend increasingly warmer each day, with summer-like heat building by Monday under mainly dry conditions.
