Forecast Discussion

Warmer temperatures can be expected today and tomorrow as warm air moves through. A system bringing this warm air has the potential to bring some rain-snow mix throughout today, so make sure you keep an eye out for any slick spots on the road. Winds will be gusty today and tomorrow and will calm slightly by Friday into this weekend. As we move into the weekend, we can expect temperatures to drop yet again and the possibility for snow to return. While a slim chance for snow flurries may be possible on Friday, the greatest chance will arrive Saturday into Sunday. Most of the snow that’s expected to be significant is forecasted to be just south of the state, however, if this system shifts further north, we may see some heavier snow and possibly even freezing rain. Make sure you continue following updates from Scalia Lab as we continue to monitor this system!
