Forecast Discussion
Calm weather will continue tonight through parts of Thursday, though skies will remain relatively cloudy until then. Temperatures will continue an upward trend Wednesday through Thursday, jumping us back up into the mid-70s on Thursday. The SPC currently has much of eastern Ohio under a marginal risk for severe weather (1/5) on Thursday, though much of the nastier weather will likely remain west of the region. There may be some showers during the day Thursday, but the bulk of the concern lies in the late evening hours and overnight into early Friday morning. Currently, the largest threat seems to be large hail, though gusty winds are a likely possibility throughout the day on Thursday as well.
Moving onto Friday and the weekend we’ll see temperatures dramatically dip back down into the upper-40s once more as colder air from Canada moves down into the state from Thursday’s system. However, clouds will clear significantly Friday evening into Saturday, bringing us beautifully sunny skies for a brief moment before clouds roll back in Sunday.
